A little less than a month away! We’re back for the 2025 edition of King of What with a 1v1 Breaking battle for $1000 (and a turntable)! 2nd place gets $500 and a cypher king and queen will get $200 each! The jam will be an all vinyl affair with talented dj’s @quiinnette and @djlate4dinner joining me to play for the event. The jam will also feature the first ever public performance of the new album by the @eastcoastaffair Our guest judges are @bboykleju @iamprevail and @bboy_shamgod and they will pick a bracket from the cypher prelims! Our MC for the night will be @thedamnnerdking This is KOW is the Sound Selection edition where we’ll be playing at @publicrecordsnyc on one of the best sound systems in all of New York City. At the battle we’ll put 2 crates of records at the front of the jam and dancers will pick their own song/record for the 2 rounds. Those crates of hip hop and funk will be uploaded here on Instagram as a post in a few days. $25 entrance fee, all proceeds go to @campsbreakerz in Gaza If you’re under 18 please contact me so I can make a list for the dancers.
